The Past, The Present, and The Future
Gil Cecchin and Art Seymour established Elenco Electronics, Inc., in 1972. The company name was derived from the first two letters of the words Electronic Engineering Corporation because both of the founders were electronic engineers. It has been the policy of Elenco to design economical products that work better and longer than our competition. The first products produced by Elenco were convergence generators designed for TV repairmen. As the times changed, and the needs of our customers, we now supply products to the toy, education, telecommunication, electric and engineering fields.
In over thirty years of existence Elenco has grown from a two-man operation into over 50 full time employees, from a garage and workshop facility into over 60,000 square feet of warehouse and offices. We’ve gone from one product to over 600 with new products constantly in development. The company expects to continue growing in size and technology. Our engineering department uses CAD for mechanical and electrical drawings and printed circuit boards are fully generated by computer. A network connects our sales, purchasing, manufacturing, accounting and art departments computer systems to data banks for efficient processing of daily orders.
In over thirty years of existence the work force at Elenco has been challenged with the difficult task of competing with much larger corporations and our employees have demonstrated the ability to produce quality products efficiently. Our ability to compete with larger companies in this field is one of our proudest achievements.
