STEM Matrix Year End Challenge

On May 31st, the Stem Matrix Year End Challenge took place at Case High School in Racine, WI.
Stem Matrix provides challenges for middle schools that run once per week for 16 weeks during the school year. These challenges are taught by college students in the middle school classroom and cover a variety of STEM educational concepts. Throughout the year students earn “Stem Matrix Dollars” for different task they are required to perform. These “dollars” are used to purchase
educational toy products at the end of year during the final challenges.
At the end of the year each classroom in the school district competes with the other classrooms in different competitions to determine the winners. Some of the challenges are designing buildings, creating rockets, building bridges and other STEM ideas, all within a limited time and with limited materials.
Elenco has been a supporter of Stem Matrix for many years by donation some of our educational toys. These toys are made available to the students to purchase with their “Stem Matrix Dollars” at the year end competition.
A few members from the World Champion NYAN Robotics Team, were also there with some of their robots, to encourage and inspire the students to stay involved in STEM programs throughout their school years.

Elenco is proud to help support and attend this amazing event!
